Model RealTime 10.3 2019.35

September 05, 2019

Summer vacations are over and it's time for another release of Model RealTime 10.3. Let's look at some of the many improvements that are included in the new release.

The model debugger now supports a new trace event for capsule initialization. This event is emitted to the trace editor when a capsule has been incarnated and the new capsule instance is initialized. If initialization data was passed when incarnating the capsule, you can see it in this event.

A new preference now allows you to control whether inherited TCs should be shown in the Project Explorer or not. By default they are not shown which means the Project Explorer is less cluttered for TCs with many relationships.

There are several improvements in the model compiler.

Another thing to mention is that the Model RealTime development team is in the process of finalizing a first experimental version of the next major release: Model RealTime 11. This version will support the latest Eclipse (2019.06) and will also contain completely new tooling for developing real-time applications that, in addition to C++, also can utilize components written in JavaScript (Node-RED or Node JS). You can get a first glimpse of Model RealTime 11 if you attend the MODELS 2019 conference in Munich. On September 16 HCL has a day full of demos, roadmap presentations, and an opportunity to meet and learn from other Model RealTime users. If you cannot be present physically, you can participate remotely through a webinar.
